Good job my stupid cough and headache in making me staying at home rotting and not being able to enjoy my last days in Beijing with my friends before we are off to our vacation plans. Good job, really. For the entire freaking week I have been struggling with the illnesses and I have to say that it is not a good idea to get sick in Beijing's winter because it is literally torturing me
A few days ago, a French friend of mine brought me to a French restaurant at Sanlitun. The place was so 'bien'(good in French). With the fact that customers being foreigners, waiters being able to converse in French and the French designs inside the restaurant, I actually thought that I was having my meal in France. The food was sumptuous too. I 'profite'(enjoy) it so much. However, the downside to it was that it wasn't wallet-friendly. By the way, je mappelle Quentin(my name is Quentin). Apparently, Quentin isn't pronounced as what you would normally think of. I guess it is far from it. It is actually pronounced as 'kong terng'. I got this French name from the same French friend whom I mentioned earlier. Merci!
It is not a good fact to know that some of my friends are leaving Beijing to begin their career-building journey in their hometown. And I am pretty sure that none of them wanna leave Beijing simply because BLCU is such an awesome place! I have come to realize that it is the place where you can have fun with your beloved friends, get to know people coming from all around the world, party literally almost every day, drink alcohol like there is no tomorrow, you know, some crazy and ridiculous things that you might not be able to do in your hometown. I have made some awesome friends here and they have taught me a lot - stuff that I would never learn in Singapore. BLCU just proves to be a place for everyone. I can see why everyone is saying they wanna come back here again.

Little did I realize that I am left with just another week and I will be gone to Hong Kong. I can't wait to sleep in my own room - a room that I can call my own. I am so sick of living with my current weird roommate.
It has been a rather busy week for me because my schedule was so packed.
Recently, I chatted with my high school junior and our conversation made me feel nostalgic. Now I really wanna go back to Singapore and meet all my friends. I think it feels great to take a stroll at where I used to live, study and have fun with my lovely friends after almost a year. I am so looking forward to stop by in Singapore in early Feb.
I have to admit that it is super problematic to organize an outing. Sometimes, you will just lose your cool when the situation gets messy and you are at a loss on the spot.

First Post of 2012
After chatting with Pauline Loh, I have decided to start blogging again because she kinda motivated me to do so. Anyway, the main point of me blogging again is to improve my English. I really need to do something about it.
2011 was indeed an important year to me because it sorta changed my life. There were ups and downs. I made some great mistakes that were worth making because then I could learn from them. On top of that, I learned so many things that I had thought I would never come across.
Hmmm, something needs to be done with my English, for real...

It's so hard living in today's society
Have been reading news everyday. There are more negatives than positives. Life from now on gonna be difficult.
Never give up, Thailand!

I am 20 now
Thanks everyone who wished me that night. It made my day. Sadly, I am no longer a teenager anymore. I wanna stay 18 forever.
Anyway, that night, I went out for meals with my friends. It was pleasant. I felt so much better as I didn't have to spend the night myself.
Haven't been doing anything fruitful lately. Always out. I guess I need to do some revision during the national holiday.

Parties!
The other night I went for 2 parties and they were so contrasting.
The first one was an Asian one. The people who attended it were those from countries like Japan, Korea, Indonesia, etc. I had so much fun talking and getting to know their cultures and there was lots of laughter. It was really international because one moment we spoke Chinese, then sometimes English was spoken out of a sudden. The people there were really friendly and I enjoyed myself so much.
The second was a Western one. All the people come from Europe and I guess I was the only Asian there. Loud Techno music was played and people smoked all the time. Well, the people there were nice, but the environment just didn't suit me well. I felt so uncomfortable there.
That's all about the parties. And that night was important.

永春拳
Today was the first lesson of my 'Wing Chun' class. I got the real taste of it. It was really cool but I will never ever want to be involved into any fight.
Well, at the beginning of the class, I learned all the boring stuff like the introduction of 'Wing Chun' and practised punching in the air. Then, our master told us to find a partner and practise some new moves we had learned. So I got this Russian guy who declared that he had learned martial arts for more than 10 years. I got beaten by his different moves and I got really scared. I am so sure I would be killed in minutes if we really got into a real fight. He was so strong and fast that I could not see what he was doing exactly! I realise I am so weak.=_=
Anyway, lessons gonna be twice a week. Looking forward to it.
And, it's so easy to make friends here. I got to know a new friend when we were waiting for the elevator today. That is life in BLCU. Everyday is different!
